About The Open Access Network
The goal of Open Access is to build and support California schools with long-term, sustainable changes, so schools include and provide access for ALL students. Leadership teams are critical in building a statewide system of support in UDL, AT, and AAC content areas.
"Implementation teams leverage implementation science principles to support widespread use of evidence-based programs and practices". [read more information at the National Implementation Research Network, https://nirn.fpg.unc.edu/]. Because our work is based on Implementation Science, implementation teams are critical to this work. "Implementation Teams must also attend to equity at each step in the implementation process", an essential part of the Open Access vision for future schools.
The network includes the Open Access Project team. These talented individuals are responsible for developing the resources for the grant funded project. They work with Regional Team Leads across California and provide training and coaching alongside these teams. Their collective talents, passion for this work and improving student access have made this project possible.

Advisors play a critical role in lending advice, support, and expertise to the grant project. They have been crucial in developing a vital metrics plan to evaluate outcomes, ensuring the grant is on the cutting edge of ideas, reviewing materials and resources, and pointing the team in the right direction when help is needed.
